The city of Juchitan is a dream. The women are large, not even round, but square, the same shape as their huipiles. They wear polka dot skirts, and by night, an army of giant pots, filled a secret sweet stew called bupu lines the streets of the park. Juchitan, Oaxaca is Margarita’s home city and she lives in a concrete house decorated inside with princesses, to the liking of her daughter Violeta, who likes to count.
