GA Announcement (PDF)

Doctors for Global Health is pleased to invite you to the 12th Annual DGH General Assembly (GA), which will be held for the first time outside the United States. DGH will hold its 2007 GA in the country that gave birth to it: El Salvador. This participatory event is an opportunity to come together and meet others working to advance health and human rights. It’s a time to learn, support one another, have fun and re-energize yourself to continue working for social justice around the world.

The 2007 program will focus on the work DGH partners carry out in their communities, with workshops and panels for and by health promoters, youth and community leaders. Some topics of interest being explored include: the integration of youth in community development; use and production of natural medicines; how to sustain the work of health promoters in local communities with minimal resources; and how international trade agreements, emigration and deportation affect local communities. You can also join us for visits to DGH project sites in the countryside.
