Thank you to all who participated in our 15th Annual DGH General Assembly: Seeds of Change: Health and Justice in the Global Recession.
Thank you to all who participated in our15th Annual DGH General Assembly Aug 6 - 8 at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia. A special thank you to our speakers Dr. Elizabeth Kiss, President of Agnes Scott; Alice Lovelace, Atlanta poet and social change organizer; and Dr. Jim Withers, founder of Street Medicine Institute and Operation Safety Net. Not only were we inspired by their words and insights, but we were lucky to have participate many of those working for change right here at home, including those at the Healing Community Center in Atlanta, those working with organizations dealing with the local effects of the global recession, and those fighting in many parts of the world against the effects of mining. We were inspired and rejuvenated and are now ready to continue the work that is needed to move one step closer to social justice.
We look forward to seeing you at our next GA:
