Undocumented immigrant youth in the United States face many barriers to achieving higher education, particularly medical education. These barriers, like high costs and ineligibility to programs, hold them back from pursuing their dreams and giving back to their communities at their full potential. Despite the challenges, many undocumented "aspiring doctors" have found ways to continue their education, and some have even gone on to attend medical school. Join us on a webinar to learn more about the barriers and opportunities for undocumented students in medical education.

The webinar will provide up-to-date information on:

  • Current policies and practices impacting undocumented students;
  • Stories from undocumented students who have attended medical school and who are applying

Speakers:

  • Alli, recent medical school graduate
  • Aime, medical school applicant
  • Mark Silverman, Director of Immigration Policy at the ILRC

Who should attend?

  • Undocumented students who are pursuing or plan to pursue a career in medicine
  • Medical students or pre-meds who want to learn more about the barriers facing their peers
  • Anyone else who wants to find out how to make a difference on these critical issues!
