We had a wonderful fundraiser/friendraiser event at the Solterra Cohousing Community in Durham, North Carolina on January 9th, 2010. Nearly 100 people with interest in domestic and global health and human rights came together to learn about the work of Doctors for Global Health. We raised over $3500 through registrations and a silent auction and enjoyed great music by Bolin Creek and food from generous area restaurants. We solidified past connections, created new ones, and were jointly inspired and newly committed to work with marginalized and impoverished communities to improve health, promote social justice and strive for a dignified life for all.
