Join an Action Team
DGH is a volunteer-run organization. This allows us to make the most of every donation we receive to support and walk with our community partners. You can help by joining one of the action teams below:
Development and Finance Action Team
The Development and Finance Action Team is a group of DGH members and board representatives who plan for the financial stability and sustainability of the organization. This helps us stand by our commitment to our DGH partner communities.
The action team organizes and carries out many of DGH’s fundraising efforts. We focus on three areas of development: obtaining grants to support our partner communities, local fundraising, and developing and maintaining connections with our donors.

Volunteer Action Team
The Volunteer Action Team works to mobilize local stateside volunteers and facilitate the placement of volunteers in our international partner communities. This is done based on the needs and requests of the communities, as well as volunteer interests and strengths. If you are interested in the Volunteer Action Team and haven’t already done so, we encourage you to learn about our different partner communities.

Communications Action Team
The Communications Action Team helps get the word out about DGH and the great work our community partners are doing. This includes writing and sending newsletters, updating the DGH website, and growing our social media. If you are interested in creative writing, communication, marketing, or social media and influencing for a cause, we encourage you to connect with us!
Our social media accounts are in their early stages. Help us connect with others who share a vision for social justice and health equity by following, sharing, and engaging.

General Assembly Action Team
Here at DGH, we believe that connection and community matter. We are a volunteer-run organization, and annual General Assemblies are one of the ways we stay connected. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to put our usual in-person General Assemblies on pause. We are very excited to announce that DGH will be resuming the annual General Assemblies. We are in need of volunteers to help plan the event of the year!
If you have experience with event planning, hosting on a budget, organizing speakers, or simply enjoy being creative with connection, we hope you’ll consider joining the annual DGH General Assembly.
